The objective of this work was to evaluate the effects of the rest period of seed-rhizomes in the phenology and yield of yam Da Costa (Dioscorea cayennensis). The experiment was carried out in field conditions at the Federal University of Paraíba, in Areia, Brazil, from January to December 2004, in an Ustpsamment soil. A completely randomized block design was used to test three treatments, 60-, 80-, and 100-day seed-rhizome rest periods, with seven replications. The trial was carried out at Três Pontas, Minas Gerais State, Brazil, from April to July 2003, to evaluate the influence of nitrogen and molybdenum rates on productive characteristics and postharvest quality of crisphead lettuce (Lactuca sativa L.). ABSTRACT The knowledge about harvest time in carrots is important to determine the moment when the farmer will be able to obtain higher yield and quality of roots. Thus, this work aimed to verify the moment of harvest, aiming to maximize yield and the quality of roots. From November 2018 to March 2019, three cultivars, Brasília, BRS Planalto and HX4098 were evaluated in Brasília-DF in DBC design with three replications, in a split plot scheme, in which the treatments of the subplots were the harvest times at 80, 90, 100, 110 and 120 days after sowing (DAS). The aim of this work was to evaluate the yield and quality of tomato fruits, hybrid "Vênus", produced on substrates and with application of nutrient solution and humic acids (AH). Four doses of AH were evaluated (0, 20, 40 and 80 L ha-1) and 4 substrates: S1 (coconut fiber (CF)), S2 (FC + carbonized coffee husk (CC) in the ratio 1:3), S3 (CF + CC in the ratio 2:3) and S4 (CC), were evaluated following the randomized blocks design in factorial 4x4 scheme with four replications. Three experiments were conducted at the Experimental Station of Syngenta Crop Protection in the municipality of Holambra, state of São Paulo, Brazil, in 2016 and 2017.
